A Mother is Born.

You may have heard the popular quote, “The moment a child is born, the mother is also born”. This is such a true statement because motherhood is a new experience to every mom. It’s a journey like no other.

Motherhood is challenging, isn’t it? It’s a 24/7 commitment to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our children and family. That’s a lot! No wonder we feel so overwhelmed by the weight of the responsibility we carry as moms.

But we don’t have to do it all alone. God promises to walk with us every step of way. Through the changing seasons, challenges and the uncertainties we face in motherhood.

He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” ~ Hebrews 13:5, AMP

A Work in Progress.

Mothers are always in the process of becoming. We’re still a work in progress. And God uses motherhood to shape and refine us in a process to become more like Jesus. What does this actually mean? Well, it means we need more than just physical strength to face the battles of motherhood.

Have you ever felt weak, not strong enough, not good enough, unqualified, inadequate and ill-equipped for the challenges of motherhood? And you didn’t know where to get the strength to keep on going or to keep showing up? I have felt all of this at some point in different seasons as a mom. I bet you have too.

More Than Just a Good Mom.

‘Becoming MomStrong’ is not about how much more you can take on or accomplish in your own striving to become a good mom. In fact, it’s so much more than just becoming a good Mom.

It’s becoming a Mom who is willing to fight with all that’s in you for children, your family and your faith.

Yes, it’s a battle! You may not have thought that becoming a Mom meant that you had to become a fighter too. But you are a fighter. That’s right!

The bible calls you Mom, a warrior, whether you feel like it or not. “Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” – Psalms 127:4, NIV

This is not a physical battle but a spiritual warfare waging for the hearts of our children and our families. And we can’t fight this battle with physical weapons or strength.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5, AMP says; “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ.”

Becoming MOMSTRONG.

“Today’s moms need a special kind of strength – the kind that comes from God” – Heidi St. John, Becoming MomStrong.

Ephesians 6:10 AMP, encourages us to “Be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.”

Fellow mom, you and I are not meant to face the challenges of motherhood alone. God will give us the wisdom we need to guide us through the uncertainties and strengthen us for the struggles we’ll face through every season of motherhood.

Becoming MomStrong is a journey to:

• Be strong in the Lord

• Know who we are in Christ

• Impart God’s unchanging truth to our children

So, are you ready to fight with all that’s in you for your children, family and your faith? God is on your side. Join us for our online Bible study of Becoming Momstrong.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” ~ Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV

“The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” ~ Exodus 14:14, AMP

“Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].” ~ Isaiah 41:10, AMP
